Hello everyone and welcome to The Vintage Express!! We are a group of vintage wearing and history enthusiasts who participate in living history demonstrations, educational displays, and reenactments with the goal of engaging the public and sharing our knowledge and love of by gone eras. Though based primarily in New England, a few of our members hail from Ohio, Texas, and even California!
Originally founded in 2015 as a small youth based organization, the The Vintage Express has been revamped and is now better than ever. Many of our members are available as guest speakers, professional photographers, as well as vintage hair and makeup artists for special events.
The Vintage Express is dedicated to sharing our research and discussing home front impressions from 1900 through World War II. There are so many interesting impressions to choose from - Lindy Hoppers, rum runners, factory workers, railroad and shipyard workers, WAVES, WACs, SPARS, USMCWR, Red Cross, bound drives - the list could go on and on!! But you get the idea! We want to work together to improve not only our own living history impressions, and also to provide accurate and educational content for the public.
This is the first of what we hope will be many blog posts about our adventures into the past. Please join us and follow along. Be sure to follow us on Facebook as well!
